Recombinant Mouse Insulin-2/Ins2 (C-His)
Recombinant Mouse Insulin-2 is produced by Pichia pastoris. The target gene encoding F25-N110 is expressed with a 6His tag at the C terminus.
BackgroundInsulin is a heterodimer of a B chain and an A chain linked by two disulfide bonds. It belongs to insulin family. Insulin is expressed in dorsal pancreas and 66 other tissues. Insulin decreases blood glucose concentration by increasing the cell permeability to monosaccharides, amino acids and fatty acids, and accelerating glycolysis, the pentose phosphate cycle, and glycogen synthesis in liver.
